Project Based Learning
Like many of you, I've finally come to the end of this semester wondering where all the time went. I mean, didn't we just start these projects a month ago? (Or was that just the last progress report I remembered to turn in?) Someone compared this class to setting up our own underachievement, but all in all it's midnight the night before and I think I've done pretty good! Don't get me wrong, I've done my fair share of work the last few days to get to that point, but I can say I've learned much more doing MY projects, My way than I might have sitting through a lecture or drawing anymore "sewing machine parts" or 'ducks"!

Certify in Solidworks
SolidWorks is quickly becoming an industry standard for 3d modeling in many design and engineering fields. Not only is it an efficient and effective tool, but you can just do some down right cool things with it. I took the SolidWorks coarse from Richard Cozzens last semester and decided to continue on in the Eng4610 class developing a criteria to take the Certified SolidWorks Associate exam, SolidWorks basic level of certification. I've compiled a comprehensive resource for others interested in certifying as well that will be left with the instructor at the end of the semester.
